UPSKILL – Build (Construct)

UPSKILL – Build is a division of UPSKILL Barrydale that looks at the needs of the community when it comes to repairing everything in the community by utilizing those in the community that have the necessary skills to train up community members to do the jobs necessary through the UPSKILL Mentor program.

Daniel Gleeson is a member of UPSKILL Barrydale and Mentor program, who has a renovating and repair company that will be taking on the youth as students to learn from him with on the job experience. Learning the skills like waterproofing, painting, plumbing, building and window replacing that are all desperately needed in the community.

To show a simple example: There are houses all over Smitsville, our poor part of town with no windows, walls that need painting and roofs that leak. The community is poor and can’t afford the repairs and don’t have the money to buy the building materials to do the job.

UPSKILL – Build will use CES (Community Exchange System) as an alternative means of trade to pay the community to do the work needed and to also find additional sponsors through our NPC (Non Profit Company) to supply the community with paint, waterproofing material, perspex and plumbing materials to do the work, utilizing the youth that have gone through an UPSKILL Mentoring program to do the jobs for their community.

This is a Community Upliftment Program focusing on the skills development plan and will work in conjunction with the UPSKILL -MENTORS program. Those that show promise can go further to learn to become professionals in their chosen fields. The forward aim would be to start a Hardware store that has tools to rent and building materials that can be bought or rented with Talents (CES) and cash. The building materials need to be sponsored by the community or donated by companies as part of a Tax rebate.
